Steven Tevere (Executive Chef) Born and raised in New Jersey in an Italian family, Steven learned at an early age to appreciate the foods, flavors and cooking styles from his mother and grandmother. Cooking and activity in the kitchen was always a large part of his daily routine and one that evolved into a lifetime passion and prestigious career. His professional cooking career started with a move to California to attend the California Culinary Academy, and was followed by a sous chef position alongside Nancy Oaks at Boulevard. Steven credits Ms. Oaks for helping fine tune his style and approach to cooking. Steven went on to hold management positions in award winning, multi-unit restaurants including The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena, the Lodge at Pebble Beach, and The Carneros Inn. Steven brings years of experience to Taste’s kitchen and is inspired by Taste’s progressive passion for excellence and by the bounty of ingredients that the Bay Area has to offer.
