SAN FRANCISCO (January 27, 2016) - Margaret Teskey, President of Taste Catering and Event Planning announced today that Steven Tevere has been brought on board as Taste Catering’s new Executive Chef. Steven directs the culinary operations for Taste Catering’s clients and is inspired by Taste’s progressive passion for excellence and by the bounty of ingredients that the Bay Area has to offer. Additionally, Steven will oversee the culinary partnerships with Press Club and Walt Disney Family Museum, creating the menus for all daily operations and special events.
“We are thrilled to welcome Steven to the Taste Catering team,” says Teskey. “He is a culinary talent and his undeniable passion and expertise bring an exciting energy as we continue to grow and serve the Bay Area.”
Most recently coming from The Carneros Inn in Napa, Steven brings years of experience to Taste Catering’s kitchen. Born and raised in New Jersey in an Italian family, Steven learned at an early age to appreciate the foods, flavors and cooking styles from his mother and grandmother. Cooking and activity in the kitchen was always a large part of his daily routine, evolving into a lifetime passion and prestigious career. His professional cooking career started with a move to California to attend the California Culinary Academy, and was followed by a sous chef position alongside Nancy Oakes at Boulevard. Steven credits Ms. Oakes for helping fine tune his style and approach to cooking. Steven went on to hold management positions in award winning, multi-unit restaurants including The Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena, the Lodge at Pebble Beach as well as The Carneros Inn.

Meals on Wheels Star Chefs & Vintners Gala was held at Ft. Mason on June 1, 2014. The event raised more than $2.6 million in support of homebound seniors. More than 100 chefs and 90 vintners from across Northern California participated in the Gala, with Nancy Oakes of Boulevard serving as Gala Chef Chair for the 11th year.
Meals on Wheels is regarded as one of the best food and wine charity events in the country, bringing together Northern California’s most illustrious chefs and wineries for a one-night-only epicurean extravaganza. Meals on Wheels provide nutritious meals and companionship to homebound seniors.
